Technical requirements

- The special hardware requirement depends on the respective
employment of the SITOS® learning portal. Recommended is
a Pentium II system with min 256MB RAM (with Linux operating
system)
Communication and cooperation
The special strength of the SITOS® learning portal is the
data communication area. Within forums, News type character, electronic
notices, internal e-Mail function, chat, votings, visiting card
function, new range and group calendars. The users are able to
communicate and get informations. The group calendar gives information
about the presence of telephone tutors e.g. in the chatroom and
serves in principle for the information for synchronous learning
units between learner and phonetutor.
Data base and server independently
The SITOS® learning portal is data base and server independently.
No matter whether you use Windows NT/2000, Solaris, Linux or AIX.
Our learning portal is developed with PHP and from the wellknown
Web servers Apache or IIS (Windows systems), these platforms is
far common supported.
The data base Oracle, ms SQL or also MYSQL can be used alternatively,
whereby also different data base systems can be used.
